Leave application

Dear all,

This is perhaps the first time since I started writing this newsletter that I am going on an extended leave. The reason for that is very DoorDesi coded. My parents are visiting me in the Netherlands and anyone who has ever hosted their parents in their new foreign home would know that parents are adorably high maintenance when they visit. The reversal of roles is real. Suddenly, you are the one with the plans, you are the one looking at your watch going 'let's go, let's go, let's go', suddenly you are the one deciding what to eat when.

So yeah, I am extremely delighted to have them here but that also means I do not have the capacity to keep writing for the next couple of weeks.
